What is a schwarzbier?

A schwarzbier, as the name suggests, is a black bier in the style of a lager. It has the dark colour from the roasted hops.

 Where is Schwarz Mönch from?

Schwarz Mönch was first created at the Pension Gimmelwald. Located atop the cliffs at the head of the Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland.

Where can I get one?

Schwarz Mönch is currently available on draught at the Pension Gimmelwald, and at outlets in Mürren, Wengen, Interlaken, Spiez, Thun and Gstaadt.

We are currently looking to expand our production into the US and UK.

Our accessories are available worldwide, however we are currently only shipping Schwarz Monch bier in the UK and Switzerland. We are looking to expand into the US and Europe to serve our international customers. Please fill out our contact form if you would like to be notified when we are available in your area.

We will endeavour to keep mailing costs to a minimum by packaging goods into the smallest and fewest number of containers.

We are not Amazon. Unfortunately we don’t do next day delivery. It increases shipping costs and it’s not good for the environment. Your goods will be dispatched within 5 working days, and should be at your door within 10 (although we are experiencing delays with us during the current global disruptions)
